You can’t beat west coast Canada Halibut fishing!
We welcome you to combine your BC Salmon fishing trip with a day on the open ocean, bottom fishing for Halibut, Ling Cod, Red snapper and many other species of rockfish.
Because of their size and great taste, Halibut fishing is probably our most popular bottom fishing species. Nootka Sound and Esperanza Inlet Halibut never disappoint with common weights ranging from 20 lbs. to 120 lbs.
Sometimes a monster Halibut is taken, like the one above, caught by Michelle and Scott Rowe out of Renton Washington. This Halibut was over 150 lbs! Each year Halibut from this area, off the west coast of Vancouver Island, are taken in the 200 lb. range.
Fish Conservation – in the best interest of all anglers!
Halibut over 60 lbs are 98% female, each carrying millions of eggs. In the interest of protecting future stocks and if the angler is willing, we practice catch and release if you hook into one of these massive female halibut. 
Ling Cod range in size from 8 to 45 lbs but the “keepers” (legal lingcod) weigh around 15 lbs. Red Snapper ranges in size from 10 to 25 lbs. Rockfish are much smaller but great eating too, and will weigh in at around 4 to 7lbs. No matter which BC bottom fish you catch, they are all excellent tasting fish.
