Winter Prawn Fishing ~ (Feb - June)

Come enjoy a day Prawn Fishing on the Chinook Seeker! We offer Prawn fishing trips from Comox Harbour, with room for 4 people on the Chinook Seeker, a very comfortable and spacious 26 ft covered cruiser.

200 Prawn tails, or a combination of Prawns and Side Stripe Shrimp per person is the daily limit. Most days, a limit per person is a reasonable expectation. A Tidal Fishing license is required to take prawns.

Relax and enjoy the scenery while Sea Lions and occasional Dolphins pay us a visit as we move from bay to bay. Prawns are caught with traps that we drop to the ocean floor. We'll tour around, maybe fish a bit while we wait for an hour or two, then up come the traps, revealing the bounty of the set!

We'll pick you up at your hotel and return you at the end of the day, with your bounty of prawns! Don't forget your camera!

The winter weather in British Columbia is mild, allowing us to enjoy the outdoors year 'round! We are as active outdoors in the winter as the summer, with fishing, prawning and golfing at our doorstep, with the added excitement of skiing just 40 minutes away!
